The Reborn Noble Girl is Hard to Find - 重生之贵女难求

On top of the sandalwood table sat a bronze crane mouth, exhaling out a curling fragrance. The flickering lights of the red candles made the joyful wedding curtains shrine crimson as if it were mist. Large pieces of gold thread were embroidered onto a picture of mandarin ducks playing in the water, rich and noble. On the side of the small table was a flower plate, with lotus seeds and lilies scattered onto the rich peony pattern. The red candles were burning high, and the bridal chamber was decorated with flowers and candles.*

The woman sat on the edge of the bed with her head bowed down, her golden red veil covering her head. Her jade-like slender hands tightly clutched the true lover's knot as she softly asked: "Ji Lan, what time is it?"

The maid by her side was wearing a small water-blue shirt. She smiled as she came forward: "It is the eleventh hour, Miss, don't be anxious. The prince should be here soon,"

she said, holding back her laughter.

"You horrid thing, is the young miss someone you can tease? You really don't know that the sky is high and the ground is thick. (AN: Not sure how to translate this idiom, but she's basically saying that the maid is too audacious and doesn't know her limits.) The maid wearing a peach-coloured jacket on the other side coldly reprimanded, but her eyes could not stop laughing.

"Stop talking." The Chen mother looked outside the door: "Since you have entered the Prince's residence, your work must not have any mistakes. Speaking like this must give satisfaction, but you must not implicate the young miss. Actually this is incorrect. Now she should be addressed as Consort Shi Zi."

"Mother." Zhuang Hanyan could not bear to listen anymore as blush flew onto her pretty face under her veil. She had wanted to say something to stop their jokes but was unable to say anything. Thinking back to Prince Wei's handsome figure made her so ashamed that she wanted to bury her head into the brocade quilt sprinkled with lily pine nuts.

Whenever she thought of him, Prince Wei's son, Wei Rufeng, her heart flushed with sweetness. The first time she saw him was at Consort Rong's banquet. Han Yan rarely went out, and the first time she entered the palace, Yushan pointed to one of the male guests from afar and told her, "That's Prince Wei."

He was wearing a snow-white tunic, a very simple style, but it could not stop the extravagant and noble aura surrounding him. His pair of warm eyes looked over and smiled faintly at her.

His one smile, could not be forgotten.

Yu Shan frequently brought her news surrounding Wei Ru Feng from that moment onwards. While both were daughters of the marquis, Yushan had a lively temperament and often played with the young ladies of other houses. And the young ladies together would more or less hear the news of the young talents in the capital. The family of Prince Wei had won half of the kingdom with the late emperor and had been a great success. The Prince of Wei's son, Wei Rufeng, was a young man of great ambition, having both civil and military characteristics. His nature was also very gentle, and he treated people thoughtfully.

About me:

Hi folks,

I'm a university student that also happens to be a second-gen Chinese immigrant. I really liked the Rebirth of the Malicious Empress so I thought I would try to translate one of the author's other novels, even though I have the Chinese capabilities of a preschooler.

Comment suggestions/changes (because again, my Chinese is really bad) and I shall add them to the post! Happy reading!

If you enjoyed reading, you can buy me a cup of boba at:

It would be greatly appreciated :D.
